MFM MAGODO REGION 73- Sunday Sermon 10/01/2016- The Path Mary Chose

Choose the right path that will not be taken away from you....

The Path Mary Chose

Preacher:  Pastor Olusegun Gbadamosi (Regional Overseer MFM MAGODO REGION 73)

Text- Luke 10:38-42- … “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her

Facts:
#When you do the will of heaven, Your life will begin to progress day by day.
#A man can be doing the right thing at the wrong time which is like someone trying to put a round peg in a square hole. You cannot be successful that way.
#You need to choose a path this year, a path that God can vouch for.
#We don't need to care so much for those things that will perish. There is something that is eternal which must dwell in us which is the word of God.

We have two kinds of paths:

1. A path chosen by man that can be taken away from him and
2. A path chosen by man that can't be taken away from him (Matthew 4:4, Exodus 32:26, Joshua 24:15&22)

Mary's Path is a good example of  "a path chosen by man that can't be taken away from him".

Features of Mary's path include:
1. A path God wanted for her (God's will)
2. Obedience to God's word
3. Living a kind of life that draws men and women to Christ
4. A path that can't be taken
5. Showing love for the needy
6. Caring for the poor
7. Lifting those who are falling
8. Interceding for the body of Christ

Ask yourself the following questions
1. Am I living in fornication?
2. Am I  living in adultery?
3. Am I looking for people's weaknesses?
4. Am I happy because people are sad?
5. Am I waiting for people's downfall?
6. Am I standing against or attacking men of God?
7. Do I lie?
8. Am I poisoning people's mind?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then you are walking in "a path chosen by man that can be taken away from him".
Don't be like Martha, doing the right thing at the wrong time. You need to change your path.

How to change your path

#You need to repent from every known sin

#Surrender your life to Jesus
#Ask God to give you a path that can't be taken away from you

Prayer Points

1. Anything God has not planted in my life, be uprooted by fire in the name of Jesus

2. Any evil pattern in my family, break by fire in the name of Jesus.
3. By the power of the Holy Ghost, I shall not follow the path of destruction in the name of Jesus.
